导演郭帆为了能立项，竟然准备了100年的编年史，3000张概念图，8000张分镜，去给中影汇报。剧组在青岛拍摄了125天，全组完全没有休息，连续拍摄37小时都是常态，演员只能趴着休息。按照好莱坞使用标准制作的道具服，愣是坏了好多次，新西兰制作方都看傻了。为了追求完美，特效镜头竟然前前后后可以修改249次！国产科幻电影牛逼！
